Because of the Dove Commercial fiasco and a very bad experience I had while being measured for a bra, which I won’t discuss here, I am going on a very serious diet.
My Dad lost 70 pounds on this diet, but I only want to lose 20. He did it through a hospital. I’m just getting all the diet food off of my Dad. He calls it a 500 calorie a day diet, but I did the math and if I follow what he says, I’ll be eating approximately 1,060 calories each day. According to my Mom (who got a degree in Foods and Nutrition, before becoming a Library Scientist) someone of my age and size should eat about 2,400 calories a day to maintain weight.
Why am I telling you all this? Motivation. If I tell the internet, and I fail, I will be very embarrassed.
Did I mention I have to lose the 20 pounds before September 17th? September 17th is the UCF v. USF football game. I graduated from UCF and Gabe graduated from USF and they are playing for the first time ever in September, and I refuse to be completely sober. Plus, the weekend after that we go to Orlando for the UCF v. Marshall game, and if I don’t drink there, everyone will think I am pregnant.
This gives me just under six weeks. So far I’ve been awake for just over two hours and I haven’t eaten anything. I didn’t even have one cheerio when I was giving The Squad breakfast. So far so good.



















You can do it Sarah! I started my calorie cutting spree last Monday. So far so good…..I did have 2 pieces of thin crust pizza yesterday but that was my only excess. (Normally I would have eaten at least half the pizza.) I’m glad you’re posting your diet experience. It will help me too!
20lbs. by Sept. doesn’t sound very safe or healthy. Maybe October would be a better goal??? 2lbs a week weight loss is really the smart way to go.
It’s probably not, but I’m going to take vitamins too, just to make it less unhealthy.
It’s a hospital diet for people who are dangerously overweight.
If you go by the 10% over normal body weight standard, I am obese. If the girls in the Dove commercial are normal (sizes 8 – 12), I am above normal. It is just something I feel I have to try.
I need to lose 8-10 lbs by the same dates, maybe I need do try it too…

No cookies now – only shakes, soup and pre-packaged meals of questionable content.
Oh, how I wish I would have stuck with the two cookie rule!

they recommend 1200 – 1300 calories a day.
eat lots of salad, that’s all i can say… it’s super-low in calories and fills you up. water works that way, too. drink lots of it.
i lost 17 pounds in a month — you can lose 20 by september.
