This is your mind on Dora

Where are we going? Chocolate Mountain.
Where are we going? Chocolate Mountain.
Where are we going? Chocolate Mountain.
Where are we going? Chocolate Mountain!

I used to get normal people songs stuck in my head. Now it’s just this over and over. I know that kids like repetitiveness, which is part of the reason Dora is so popular, but come on!

Speaking of TV shows, did anyone else watch the Tommy Lee debacle last night?

When I was in high school I looooooved Motley Crue. I had Motley Crue posters all over my room and I would cut things out of Circus and Kerrang! and put that up on my walls too. Either way, the show was pathetic. It was really poorly put together and the marching band scenes pained me. I, personally, never marched (they don’t have singing in the marching band) but even the people that acted in the movie Drumline knew he sucked. Only other “rockers” would think that playing in a metal band would qualify you or prepare you in any way to play for the University of Nebraska marching band. Come on – they live for football there. I know he played in high school, but he’s 42 year old. That was a long time ago.

Okay, I’ll stop with that. I was really hoping talking about Motley Cure would make me think about “10 Seconds to Love”, but no – Where are we going? Chocolate mountain. Where are we going? Chocolate mountain. Where are we going? Chocolate Mountain. Where are we going? Chocolate Mountain!

By the way – now both kids sing the backpack song. It is even cuter than you are imagining.

  1. It would be a lot easier if the people we had crushes on in high school could fade into oblivion with grace instead of fanning their dying embers of fame long after everyone else has roasted their marshmallows and gone home.

I remember sitting in 10th grade Chemistry class and writing poems to Tommy Lee. At the time I thought it was very cool. Now, dozens of scandals and a handful of reality shows later, I’m a bit embarrassed by good ol’ Tommy Lee.

  3. Stupid spam comments. Not you Tiffer.

I loved Nikki Sixx. He was my favorite.

  4. Oh, man. I thought it was funny. Heavily edited for “effect” but funny. But, then, I was never in love with Tommy Lee. Ever. And, then, I’m also a cornhead. So I had fun trying to recognize people & places.

So, yeah. I will watch it again.

    😉

  5. Ritch had it on last night & actually was getting mad at me for making fun of it. WOW! That is all I can say. Except, where are we going? Chocolate Mountain.
