Maybe he will be an artist when he grows up.

Lately, Ian has been saying something that sounds like “ng”. It’s a really strange sound. He says it and points at the TV. I didn’t know what he was trying to say. I thought maybe he was working on saying “again” better, but it didn’t make sense in context. Gabe couldn’t figure it out, my Mom couldn’t figure it out and Melissa didn’t know either.

Today I solved the mystery. He was saying “Van Gogh”.

As in, Baby Van Gogh, the Baby Einstein DVD. This is the Einstein DVD about art, and it stars Vincent Van Goat. Vincent Van Goat has always cracked me up, but that is another story.

I’m just trying to get my head around the fact that my 17 month old son is saying Van Gogh.

Even if it just sounds like “ng”.
