  1. Becky says:

If I give Gabe a T-shirt, will he stay too?

  2. Our last buy/sale was totally emotionally draining as well. I think its all of the above. Plus some other things. But we wish you luck! My Dad wants to know if you need an Irish or Polish (read: Catholic) icon to pray to for a quick house sale….St. Joseph!

  3. Mister Hand says:

Just comfort yourself in knowing that you are going to live in the Seat of World Democracy–Washington, D.C.

Or at least, it will hopefully be the Seat of Democracy once again after Bush is out of office. In the meantime, it’s the Toilet Seat of World Democracy.

Oh well, at least you’re getting away from Jeb.

  4. Sarah says:

I’ve always thought it was kind kind of embarassing that I was born during the Nixon presidency. Then The Squad was (were?) born and they had Bush as the president and the little more fascist Bush as their governor, and that is way more humiliating.

  5. jamwall says:

    good point sarah….good point

i was also a nixon baby. i would actually take him, believe it or not, over president dumbass.

  6. Alison says:

Maybe it’s the timeline that’s causing the pressure this time. If it doesn’t sell, consider advertising it for rent at McDill’s housing office. There’s nothing better than responsible military renters – they’re paying the mortgage on our house in St. Louis right now.

Is Gabe planning to tell his work soon?

  7. Sarah says:

Out house is a little too far to commute to MacDill, but too bad, that is a really good idea.

  8. Sarah, this will pass. The twins will get easier – they will almost entertain each other. If that fails, you can do what we did – have a third child. That really gets their attention off of you.

All this is tounge in cheek. You have a lot going on right now, but in a few months it will be all but forgoten. Just hang in there and enjoy your kids.

  9. Sarah says:

Glove – It is already sooooooooo much easier than the first year. The third kid idea really sounds like a hassle.

So, who wants to help us move?

  10. I promise it gets easier with each passing year, but don’t let these good yeras pass you by.

I would love to help you move, but I have 3 kids. I volunteer MISTER hand and Meatbag.

  11. Oh, it’s also football season, can’t help.

  12. britt says:

sarah – we will miss you down here in the southeast! i’m glad you’re excited. i am still blown away. happy thanksgiving!

  13. Running2Ks says:

I wish you all of the best in getting the buy/sale to go well. I know how hard it is (did it 4 times myself).

  14. Killjoy says:

I live in Fredericksburg, VA right now. It’s a hell of a commute to DC, but a lot of people do it.

And here’s to responsible military renters! (That would be me.)

  15. jen says:

Maybe it will be easier for you to attend our next Wine Tasting Party.
I always try to avoid flying from DC though — superstitious. DC and Chicago — No Way.
Have you been to DC much?
