Reconnected (and it feels so good)

The man came this morning and hooked me back up. I’ll be back pestering everybody later today, but I have a couple of quick things to say before we go to playgroup.

1) I met Lumpyhead’s Mom on Sunday. We had a great time. Nobody killed anybody. It is amazing how much you can get a feel for what someone is like by just reading their blog. We met at a fancy place and drank some really nice wine (like grown-ups) and it was really fun. She was (is) just like you would think, and she controlled her drinking, I didn’t have to call her Shaneese or anything. Did you notice how her link had moved up to the “Friend’s Blogs” list? I will post a picture later today, if I get a chance.

2) When The Goon Squad want their shoes off they both say “shoes off”. When they want their socks off they both say “toes”.

3)I finally finished reading “The Moon is a Harsh Mistress”, so if you are one of the people that asked me about it – now I can give you a better answer.

  4. the kaiser says:

Whitey the man fixed your cable?

  5. He wasn’t white. But he was the man.

You could tell because right before that he was keeping me down by NOT fixing my cable modem.

  6. I have the book in my pile of things to read. DId you like it?

I love the toes thing. It makes sense to me.

  7. I liked it. I feel kind of bad because I read it over seven or eight months and I read several other books in the meantime. I wish I would have given it more attention.

I have a love/hate relationship with Heinlein. He was a brilliant thinker – but such a sexist!

  8. don’t hate the playa… hate the game

  9. Sometimes, the game just sucks.

I vote to change to playing Jenga.
