It Takes a Lot Longer to Read This Way


Lately, when I read “Brown Bear” every time I say “Brown Bear, Brown Bear, what do you see?” or “Red Bird, Red Bird what do you see?” Claudia will say “What do you see, Mommy?”

It is very cute, but it sure does take a long time to get to the end.

  1. Sentence by sentence comentary does add to the durration of the storry – I wonder if they plan it that way?

  2. zoe has her version called “WHY?” WHY? WHY? WHY? Yes it stalls the parents so the kid gets more time! be glad – claudia is intelligent!

  3. The new one here is point to everything on the page “what is THAT saying?” and “what is THAT one saying Now?”

  6. Just wait until they read longer books and it takes hours to get through Lord of the Rings. OY! Those battle scenes can kiss my ass.

    I fall asleep a lot while they read to me.

  7. Whenever my husband gets to the page about the teacher he says, “I see Peggy Hill looking at me!” Take a look, it totally is!
