We lost power for about 23 hours. I’m pretty sure this is what happened.
The good news is: I learned what a microburst is.
The bad news is that I have to go get groceries because I don’t feel safe feeding the kids anything that was in our refrigerator. (Not to suggest that I would eat anything in there. You guys know I have a thing about accidentally eating food that had gone bad.)
So to recap, I was at the beach for five days without an internet connection and then i had no power at all, then I had lights, but no phone or internet service. Did I miss anything good?

i wish they would just call them tornados for not only simplicity sake but because “micro burst” does not in anyway shape or form sound the least bit impressive, even though it has the power to rip the roof off of your home
