two of these will show up much later in my own list. What I love about you Sarah--and this is a sign of a true music afficianado--is that you don't go for the obvious choices, but have clearly dug up the gems from a groups back catalog (i.e. all the grunge items on this list). Well played

Still don't get Metallica, though

I'm glad Paul's Boutique made your top 20, but I probably would have put it in the top 10 personally.

I started listening to the Beastie Boys when Ill Communication came out, and I wasn't aware I was buying that kind of music. I just listened to that Pantera album a few days ago and hadn't done so in a long time, and I like listening to London Calling in the car.

I don't think I need to share my feelings on The Misfits again, but here's something somewhat embarrassing: The first album of theirs I bought was Famous Monsters.

I just always assumed Bleach wasn't worthwhile. Maybe I should reconsider. And I totally agree with the death of Cliff and the decline of the band. I don't know what it was about him, because he was not responsible for a lot of songwriting, so I assume he was an important social factor in the band. That kind of tragedy must be so hard to deal with though and considering the circumstances, they did pretty well I think. Plus I think that bassists are the backbone of any good band, but since I already put down enough useless information in this comment, I won't elaborate.
