He was also one of my favorites. I honestly believe he will be remembered as our generation’s Victor Hugo. I even taught some of his short stories to my 9th graders. They loved them. Heck, they would like anything where a kid trashes a school. He will be missed.

One of my favorite authors as well. I recommend Deadeye Dick and Galapagos. Galapagos was my first Vonnegut book, and I was hooked from then on. Farewell sir, you will be missed.

we saw this late last night and my husband told me the whole story of slapstick…i remember reading for pleasure. may he rest in peace.

Not only was he brilliant, but he made the man-perm en vogue long before David Hasselhoff was cruising around in Knight Rider. Would we have had Baywatch without Kurt Vonnegut? I think not.

He was such an inspiration. I always knew I could pick up one of his books if I needed something to laugh and think over. And now there will be no more masterpieces.
