Lesson Learned

If the weather man keeps saying things like “Sunday will be bitterly cold” and “wind chills in the single digits” make sure you get gas on Saturday.

Trust me on this one.

  1. Luckily, for everyone but my wife, I always have gas.

  2. Yeah, I sure miss Jersey where someone else freezes (or most often, in FL) or roasts their butt off. And, oddly enough, they get full service for less money.

  3. I wish you would have written this on Friday. Because we were bitterly cold on Saturday. And I decided to get gas on the coldest day of the year.

Am SMRT. And still thawing out.

  4. Yes!

I learned this a long time ago. I’d also add, if it is supposed to snow? Get gas! Because who wants to stand out in a blizzard while filling up their gas tank?

  5. You didn’t get fuel line freeze up did you? I hope not.

  6. Well, it hit a high of 17 here today. And yes, that’s farenheit. Shut up.

  7. So if I say it was cooler than usual today here in FL, I’d get things thrown at me, right? :)

Well, since you’re not busy, I tagged you for a meme. See my blog for deets.

When are you coming back to FL?

  8. It’s freakin cold out!! We need to move back to FL.

  9. You know what I heard on the weather channel this morning? “Wind chill of 30 below”. I didn’t want to get out of bed. I hate living in Minnesota. Now I’ve thought about it too much and I need a hot drink.

  10. NOW, I’m so glad I almost ran out of gas on Friday (having neglected to look at the gauge at all for I guess 3 days running) but did finally tend it then. An old woman pushing an SUV up the highway ain’t a pretty sight, I wished to spare the city that. Then, I watched the temps plummet here, too.

  11. My kids have gas. Did you get it for them?

  12. It’s so blady freezing here in Toronto and my poor kiddies have to walk home from school. boy do I feel like a guilty working mother.

  13. De in D.C. says:

I’m going to be hurting my travel karma if I try and gloat that I’ve been in 60 degree San Diego since Sat. We would have gone swimming today, except the hotel closed the (outdoor, heated) pool for maintenance. Last year when I was here, it snowed 4″ in Fairfax.
