I Always Thought it Was “Caca”

Claudia asked me to read this word that she spelled on the refrigerator.

I read it – obtpyscpgrzx.

Then I asked her what it meant and she said “It means poop in Spanish!”

Don’t know what it is at that age, but everything is about poop. At least your daughter was clever enough to disguise it as “Spanish.”

  2. Amy says:

Thanks to Dora, every word my kids make up is Spanish for something. I wonder if Dora know how much she is messing up the language she is trying to promote.

I finally got an award badge made up for the blogs on my fridge. You can pick yours up on my blog.

  3. Chicky says:

I’d like one of those invites. You’ve got my email, right?

  4. Sarah says:

I’d love an invite if you still have extras!

I know poop in German, should I teach you that so you can spell it for her and tell her it means something innocuous? :)

  5. KC says:

This is a fine tidbit of information – I, too, thought it was ‘caca’. No future embarassment for me! Phew.

  6. Suebob says:

  7. tiffany says:

I have a similar story about jack but I can’t even tell it-it’s totally innocent but incredibly offensive-even from a 4-year old.

  9. Michele says:

I usually only have time to read blogs on brief breaks at work, where flickr photos are banned. So I never get to see the pictures you post. What a treat to actually see Miss Claudia today, and she is adorable. And funny.

Do I want a phototrade invite? What is phototrade?

  10. Jason says:

I almost spit out my coffee when I read that. She’s quite the linguist.

  11. Clearly you have forgotten your basic Spanish.

  12. You can call me, 'Sir' says:

Wow. Bilingual already. I hope Ian isn’t the jealous type.

  13. Doodaddy says:

She’s actually pretty close to the Estonian word for it…

  14. Whit says:

I was sent over from Roth’s blog and your BOW link. Congrats.

We have those same magnets and I haven’t read a word right yet.

  15. No, “obtpyscpgrzx” means “Claudia is awesome” in Spanish.
