I am not going to knock DayQuil or NyQuil. In fact, I love them both very deeply.
What I am here to tell you is that if you take DayQuil after 5:30 pm don’t expect to be falling asleep any time before about midnight.
Even if you go to bed at 9:00.
Trust me on this one.
I did that once…it was with a non drowsy Advil for colds….and it sort of got evened out by my drowsy causing antidepressants.
I just sat there.
For a long time.
That sucks. But good to know.
I discovered years ago that if I take sudafed for 3 days straight, it jacks me up enough to pull an all nighter. Only I wasnt in college anymore. And that was before satellite TV and TiVo. I was KAH-RAZY.
You and the Goon Squad need someone to come in and do a rain dance or an exorcism. That’s way too many sick days.
And if you take Nyquil past midnight, you’ll sleep til 5pm the next day. Or if you do wake up, you’re all drunk.
Trust ME on this one.

I know! It’s happened to me and NyQuil doesn’t counteract the DayQuil.
Actually NyQuil only works for me when I’m NOT sick – but that’s another story

I’ve never used NyQuil or DayQuil. But it’s a good thing to know, if it ever comes up in the future.
Nyquil and Dayquil usually have opposite effects on me…Nyquil-I’m up all night, Dayquil-I can’t keep my eyes open.
oh god, the thought of taking either of those makes me sick. and i’m not anti-medicine…just anit-feeling completely out of my damn mind, like i do on those drugs.
I can’t take those meds. They do knock me out right away, but I usually wake up about four hourse later and can’t go back to sleep.
