Awwww. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie both got nominated for a Golden Globe this year. How sweet. Maybe they should celebrate by having another child.
Seriously. I could not be more sick of these two. I used to love Brad Pitt. He is in several of my favorite movies. Now I just want to not hear his name for five whole days in a row.

Is it just me or is True Blood one of the few examples of when the show/movie is better than the book?

I don’t care what anyone says. I think Christian Bale makes a crappy Batman.

I’m so glad I’m not the only one who doesn’t like the whole Christian Bale as Batman vibe.

You’re getting a big “harumph” on the Christian Bale thing.
Hey! I completed the Sarah and the Goon Squad commenting trifecta today. You’re everywhere!

I spent my lunch break googling to see if Katie Holmes was a virgin when she married cruise, and if Suri looked like Chris Klein. I have no life, apparently.

Memo to self: send an email to Sarah each day for the next five days which says, simply, “Brad Pitt.”

I hate Christian Bale as Batman. Michael Keaton blew him and Val right outta the water. There is no comparison.

Didn’t read the books, but Oh mah holy hell, I love the show.

I am sick of Brad and Angelina as well. Shut.Up.Already. (Them, not you.)

I’m sick of Brad and Angelina too. I read the first book that True Blood is based on and it was all right–but I may have to try the series if you say it’s better.

I like Christian as Batman but had to leave Dark Knight before the end. Just too much gleeful evildoing for me. Thank goodness I’m married to an understanding man. Thanks for the hangover tip — I sorta kinda knew that about drinking water, but got carried away. Plus the water was waaaay out in the kitchen…
Oh, and I too am so OVER Brangel-etc. I only scan for photos of Maddox. He’s cool.

I agree with you that True Blood the show is better than the books. I’ve read all 8 books and just love the character development and storyline changes on the show so much better. And seriously, what’s with banana clips, scrunchies and lace up pants in those books?? Sookie dresses so bad! (She dresses pretty bad on the show too but at least they’ve spared us the banana clips:)

I’m not sure on the True Blood thing – but then I’ve only read the first book (the second is next on my ever increasing reading list). I guess I’d have to say that I like both of them equally at the moment.
Either way, Eric is HAWT! so I have to keep watching just to catch a glimpse!

I haven’t read the books yet, but Aaron has read all of the True Blood books. We’re both loving the TV series, and he says the first book isn’t as good as some of the later books.
And he swears there isn’t that much sex in the books.
Gotta agree with you on Christian Bale. Good Bruce Wayne, overly-growly Batman.

1) Agree. Brad and Ang are making me miss Ben and JLo.
2) As I have not read the book(s?) I couldn’t say, however I CAN say that the show kicks ass.
3) Have not seen the latest Batman yet, but I thought he was decent in the last one. I prefer the dark batman movies to the cartoonish bullshit from the 80’s/90’s.

My husband and I have a theory about movies – if everyone says they are great, we will probably hate them (or at least not be impressed by them). And if people said they were terrible, chances are we’ll like them (or least think they weren’t as bad as the movies other people thought were great and we hated)!
Bring back Michael Keaton as Batman!!!

See… I told you his voice was all bugged up when he became Batman. The sad thing is I actually like Christian Bale (have you seen “The Machinist”?) but he makes Batman sound like a constipated sex phone operator.

I KEEP hearing about this “True Blood” phenom…now I’m going to be forced to go out and indulge in some post-Twilight recovery.
