3) Best new album you have heard this year? The only new album I’ve heard this year, so far, has been Buck-Tick’s Memento Mori, but it wasn’t their best by far.

1) What is you guiltiest, guilty pleasure song?

I’m a child of the 80s and I have a not so secret Eurotrash fetish, so there are many. And yet, I’m going with “Who Made Who?” – AC/DC

2) What is your favorite song by The Rolling Stones?
I used to have a huge thing about the Stones, not so much any more. I’ll say “Heart of Stone” and “Sympathy for the Devil.”

3) What is the best new album you have heard this year? I wish I had time for new music – I’m very intrigued by the Decembrists, but I haven’t had a lot of time to invest in getting to know them.

4) Name one song that changed your life.
Changed my life? Nah, books changed my life, not songs. However Til Tuesday’s “Voices Carry” and Bruce Springsteen’s “Tunnel of Love” crystalized situations for me and helped me get out.

5) What is your favorite song of all time? Peter Gabriel – Solsbury Hill.

This is more a list of random picks than favorites.

1.) anything by Christina Aguilera, though I don’t feel guilty for anything anymore. If I like it, that means it’s good because I have such good taste. Duh.

2.) Sympathy for the Devil is the correct answer.

3.) The Airing of Grievances by Titus Andronicus.

4.) Lay Lady Lay by Bob Dylan, just because I was whistling it all day today.

1. I can’t believe I’m admitting this but I totally have Spice Girls on my workout playlist. Look, they’re peppy. And when I’m slogging through an hour on the damn treadmill, I need peppy girl power.

Besides, someone needs to keep Miley Cyrus, Britney Spears and Lady Gaga company.

2. Gimme Shelter or Paint it Black. I know, I know, pretty unoriginal.

3. The Hazards of Love by The Decemberists or Sycamore Meadows by Butch Walker

4. Cigarette Lighter Love Song by Butch Walker, Change by Blind Melon, Mouthful of Cavities by Blind Melon AND last but not least Brighter then Sunshine by Aqualung because it’s basically the love story of my husband and I.

5. Ummm…can I do a top five or top ten? Any of the songs listed above, Don’t Move by Butch Walker, Alloway Groove by Paolo Nutini, Uniform Grey by Sarah Harmer, Blindsided by Bon Iver…I think I’ll stop now. I’m embarrassing myself.

1) Oooooooo, tough one. Not cheesy, but I am incapable of being in a bad mood when “Sweet Home Alabama” is on. I am forced to crank it up, drop the windows, belt it out and then comes the smile.

2) My brother-in-law is going to kick my ass for saying this (and you might too), but, I don’t really dig The Stones. To make it worse, I’m wearing a Stones shirt right now…shame.

3) The “remake” of Pearl Jam’s Ten. Fantastic. Was royally kickass the first time around, and it’s even more so now.

4) Can’t pick one. Would probably be a Nirvana or Pearl Jam one though.

5) I don’t have a favorite. There are too many. I can tell you have two “least favorites”. Not because they suck, but because they are tied to memories and people and made me bawl like a baby: Fred Bear by Ted Nugent (shut up, there’s a story behind it) and Far Behind by Candlebox. Far Behind comes on a LOT when I’m shopping/at the bar/etc., and I’m the freak who starts to tear up, slaps her hands over her ears, starts humming really loud and runs from the room. Maybe THAT’S why no one hits on me at the bar…
