And so it begins, that treacherous path of teaching young minds when to use “I” and when to use “me”. The misuse of those two pronouns is my biggest grammatical pet peeve (though it’s cute in a 5 year-old). Good luck.

Oh, the bizarre memory this brings back: When I was in elementary school, I was on a T.V. game show called Kid Quiz. I wasn’t able to answer a single question because I never buzzed-in faster than the other kids (even though most of the questions were pretty easy… it wasn’t a brainiac quiz show, really)… until the host asked the question “What is the plural of children?” One of the other kids buzzed-in faster than me, of course, and responded with “childs.” I was the first one to realize that it was a trick question, and so I buzzed-in first when we were given a chance to answer again. So I got one question right… one question on the whole stinkin’ show.

Needless to say, I have never auditioned for Jeopardy. My fingers are just too slow.
