Kindergarten

Today my babies got on this bus and went off to kindergarten.

They never even looked back.

I didn’t cry, but there is still time.

    Congrats!

  3. Mama Bub says:

    “Day ain’t over yet.”

Good luck to them and you!

Where did the time pass ? I remember when they were just born ! I cried when I picked up both boys at the end of their first day of kindergarten ! Ian has Lucas’s backpack !! So it is a good choice.
I can’t wait to see your post on how their day went (and yours).

  5. Julie says:

    Good job!

I cried, but she didn’t see me, because she didn’t look back either.

Did TGS have a good day?

  6. Suebob says:

Oh! Those little skinny legs! So cute. Must be quiet around the casa.

  7. Lori says:

Them not looking back means you’ve prepare them well. You should be proud. A little teary eyed is ok too.

    Congrats!

    What did you do today?

  8. More importantly, what did you do while they were gone? Is it full day or half day kindergarten?

  9. Amy says:

Can’t wait to hear about their first day…and your first day of freedom. This post made me smile and tear up at the same time.

  10. Cheryl says:

Love how they are striding with such purpose! Ours matriculated into second grade today. He: No look back. She: Drawn out hugs. Each year brings its own delight (and occasionally drama).

Hope you fared okay and treated yourself to an indulgent coffee or something extra sweet.

  11. It’s when my kids are unhappy or scared that I’m most likely to cry. There was no need today. (Sugarplum has never looked back once)

  12. I’m with you-
    I haven’t cried yet either.

    crossing fingers.

  13. Brillig says:

Awwwwww! I love the picture! It shows so much eagerness and anticipation, a sense of moving forward. My littlest started in his special ed preschool yesterday and while I’d been counting down to that pretty much since the day he was born, it was surprisingly difficult to drop him off and walk away! When did he get big enough for that????

I hope they had a great first day.

(Did you end up crying? ;-) )

  14. Lynn Craig says:

I heard about the onslaught of buses all over the country, gobbling up children and taking them to school!

    Sorry one caught your kids!!

(I cry at every milestone … kgtn, first grade. Heck I’ll probably cry at the first day of high school!!)

  15. Lynn Craig says:

You have an award on my blog!

  16. Ree says:

Yay for The Goon Squad! I hope they had a lovely time.

And mama…it’s okay to cry. It better be. I moved mine into his DORM ROOM on Saturday. Sigh.

  17. You can do all that crying in that uninterrupted shower. Today was 3B’s first day back at school and there wasn’t the crying of last year, but hey…don’t you miss me, kid?

  18. Suzie says:

Hope that the kiddos are enjoying their school and that the momma isn’t too creeped out by the lack of noise in the house! That was my biggest thing to overcome – the silence!

  19. Web-Savy Mom says:

Makes me glad that my baby is barely three yet.

  20. Jacquie says:

Oh man, leaving my first child at kindergarten was possibly the hardest day of my life. Today I wrote about having to TALK with him about the birds and the bees. It goes FAST, buckle up.

    How did they like school?

    Jacquie

  21. Mrs. Flinger says:

It’s so neat to see all of the babies born at the same time going through these phases together.

And us as parents still struggling to keep up. :)

  22. Issa says:

I didn’t either. Cried with my first, on the first day of pre-school.

Truly, I like when they go to school. Ha.
