Nice to know! I don’t know about “Hooked on Phonics,” but although I learned to read before I started school too (4 older siblings who played school with me every day when they came home helped) when I went to school we learned reading by phonics. “Sound it out!” our teacher would say. I always thought it was a good way to learn because once you have the basics down, you can pretty much figure out any word unless it’s a real oddball.
Awesome! I’m kinda in the same boat. Kid knows all the letters and sounds, but can’t read. I just bought my kiddo the entire set. Well, the old set that they’re clearing out of the stock. But, none the less, hey! Good to know it works!
I set out to buy this for Mia today, because you said so and I apparently am a Sarah stalker and will do anything you say, and sweet fancy moses is that bugger expensive. Maybe we could come over while the Goon Squad does it. Mia would sit in the back and only ask 87 questions a minute – it would be like she wasn’t even there.
