  5. I sometimes think parenting should be subtitled “Things You Never Thought You’d Have To Say.” On my personal list: “Don’t rub bread on your face.” “Don’t lick the camera lens” and “Don’t milk the dog.”

  6. i’m impressed she likes Ikea. priorities, mom.

  7. The one i didn’t expect to have to say ever: Do not lick the cart!

I’ll go ahead and repeat all of yours to my 7 year old today, so I’ve covered all bases.

  8. At least they are 5 & won’t remember! When I was aroun 13-14 years old, my best friends mom would walk around naked all the time.

  9. Yeah. That is not one that I would ever have predicted either.

Although, I never expected to ask anyone if that was poop on their fingers, and unfortunately, I asked that very question yesterday. Closely followed, by WHOSE POOP???

Would love to meet you in NYC.

  10. Haven’t you taught her that it’s always OK to go to IKEA?

  11. Did you see the time I tweeted when Declan brought his friends through my bedroom and then told me to pick up my bra and underwear? Yeah, that was awesome.

  12. LB said this to me yesterday. “You look pretty, Mommy. You have on a shirt. And PANTS!”

Caps lock emphasis his. Apparently I don’t wear pants enough? Hmm.

  13. ahhh, kids :)

Reminds me when my son asked me- with all earnest-nest (that’s not really a word, I know)
‘Why don’t girls want to have penises too?’

Like- they’re great! Why wouldn’t everyone want one?

  14. Lesson learned, eh?

  15. The one i didn’t expect to have to say ever: Do not lick the cart!

I’ll go ahead and repeat all of yours to my 7 year old today, so I’ve covered all bases.
