Embracing My Confessional Blogger Label

This is hell and gone from the 30 days of truth prompts, but it is both true and embarrassing so I thought I would slip it in here.

Confession:

My coffee pot (seen right) percolates to the beat of “Gasolina” by Daddy Yankee.

Daddy Yankee – Gasolina .mp3
Found at bee mp3 search engine

It does! That beat right at the beginning? That it what is sounds like when I make coffee.

Of course the embarrassing part is that I know this song and can handily make this comparison.

  1. Things that make you go hmmmmm….

  2. When I lived in London in 2006, this song was all the rage at the clubs…yeah…I went to clubs…haha! If the coffee doesn’t wake you up, these beats will! :)

  3. smart aleck says:

    a) You FINALLY got the fact that the club can’t even handle me right now out of my head…and I thank you

    b) Of course it’s a fast beat…the coffee maker is buzzed on caffeine.

    c) And, I just like reading the name Daddy Yankee. It feels like something the founding fathers would call themselves if they were writing/drawing graffiti on Big Ben or the Tower of London.

  4. I own the song in my iTunes colleciton. I intentionally bought just that song once.

  5. I almost didn’t read this post because I was afraid you had become a Congressional blogger. (Glad I did read it!)

  6. I love both Daddy Yankee and Pitbull. I like to think that if I ever had to pull a knife in a bodega, that my knowledge of reggaton would give me some kind of extra street cred.

  7. I finally listened to this. Laugh/crying so hard I can barely type or see.

  8. I don’t even have to click the link.
I *know* the song.. this is South Texas 😉 LOL.

    that is a riot

  9. I’m with Dawn in the bodega. Pitbull’s “Crazy” is on my elliptical playlist. I’m not proud.

  10. Great. Now I’m going to have to listen to my coffeemaker to see what song it plays.

  11. Hey I like that Enrique and Pitbull ditty, so I can’t say much.

  12. that’s a hell of a way to wake up.
