Several Unrelated Things

Last night I had a dream that I was at a thrift store looking for something that I could use as a Halloween costume for my niece, but as I was rummaging around in children’s clothes (where I incidentally ran across some items that I knew for sure were donated by my next door neighbor) I was also talking on the phone to Jon Gruden. We were laughing because he was making fun of the way my mom drives.

Analyze that.

Yesterday I got the amazing news that I will be crossing two things off of my life list (which I once tried to write down, but I was hungry so most of my goals were about food) in December.

Not only will I finally get to attend the Messiah sing-along at the Kennedy Center, it looks like I will be on the stage as a part of the big choir.

This is a big deal for me. I think someday I am going to actually write that life list, but I am also going to write a list of all of the cool things that I have already done and I will pull it out and read it whenever I feel like I suck.

Still funny.

I wrote a whole post about my musical guilty pleasures over at Aiming Low.

She Posts interviewed me about the Duran Duran project. That was pretty cool.

Okay, I lied, this is kind of related one of the earlier things, but I wrote this post about working up my nerve to audition for a solo over on That’s Right, You Heard Me.

  1. I can’t believe we have not discussed the Messiah thing. That is so, so great.

I’m making the life list this week. It’s difficult.

  2. Your Mother says:

But I think I only cut John Gruden off one time!!! Does the man never forget???

  3. I know I’ve had a dream about John Gruden at some point; and I’m glad I’m not the only one who wants to/hasn’t gotten around to writing down a life to-do list.

Love your posts – thanks for sharing!

  4. Sigh. Meant to link to this post, which includes a picture of DD with similar bath hair: http://everyoneisdoinit.blogspot.com/2011/02/my-baby-is-2.html

I can no longer multitask (while at work) at least. 😉
