Here are the things that have surprised me the most about parenthood so far:
1) Bananas stain worse than anything else.
2) You think you love your kids as much as you possibly can the first time you get a sonogram. Then they are born and you think you love them as much as you possibly can. Then they smile at you… my point is that I love them more every single day. I was not expecting that.
Also, I’m still surprised that we made two at the same time. I don’t think I will ever get over that.
And that is why your mom didn’t want you to go to the Causeway. After Al has Robey, she said “Did you love me this much” I did and I always will. You can never stop being the Mom.
