There is an absolute truth to the father/daughter phenomenon. When I was pregnant with the squad, the first time Gabe felt Claudia kick, he told her he would buy her a pony. This is 100% true. I have no idea why he said it. There is a chance he might have even meant it.
When I was on bedrest in the hospital, Gabe would come and visit pretty much every day. If he would sit on my left side, you could see a Claudia shaped lump appear on my left side. If he would walk around the bed and talk to me, she would move across my middle to the right side. I have never seen anything like it before or since.
Now, when Gabe gets home from work, Claudia will start giggling like crazy and a couple of times I think I may have even heard her say Daddy. She used to call Gabe Da and everyone else in the universe (including me) Da Da. Apparently, now she can say Daddy, but I’m still Da Da.
Did I mention I have taken every single one of these pictures in the past two days? This cute stuff happens all of the time.
Ever since she was a tiny baby, she has had a special bond with Gabe’s father too. I’m starting to wonder if we’re going to need room for two ponies.
