Last night I had a dream that I was talking to Ronnie James Dio about going to BlogHer. He didn’t make his reservations early enough, so he was staying in some Days Inn. I told him that he could put all of his giveaways in our room during the conference.
Apparently I am very generous when it comes to metal icons.

I cannot see that guy’s name without hearing it said DEE_OH in that deep, scary, monster-truck voice they used to use to make things sound tough. Sunday, Sunday, Sunday!
He’s been part of a host of ageing (sp?) rockers doing a PSA for autism on VH1. He looks like Jeff Goldblum in The Fly. None of them looks really good except Steven Tyler. The guys from Kiss wisely put their makeup back on.

Jeromy walked by and glanced at the monitor while I was reading this via Bloglines. Half way into the other room, he says, “Is that Ronnie James Dio?” Seriously. Who else (besides you and Jeromy) recognizes RJD at a glance?
I think…right here..is the birth of “Get Dio to BlogHer ’07.”

Awesome! My dreams are pretty cool but I have never had Dio as a guest star…I believe Glenn Danzig was in my dreams once though.
