1. Ratatouille. Yes, if you have a brain similar to a child under age 6. I do.
2. I don’t watch TV. My husband clutches the remote like it’s a hand grenade with the pin pulled. No one’s gotten it away from him in about 12 years.
3. I re-bought Journey Escape. I’m a Journey freak. I can’t help it. Maybe I do it just so the children will laugh at me.
4. My age shows here. Sean Connery.
5. Georgia O’Keeffe
6. The King and I
7. Achy Breaky Heart?
February 29th, 2008 at 7:58 am, markira Says:

February 29th, 2008 at 8:41 am, Liz Says:
1) What is the last movie you saw in a theater? Was it good?
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (thirty-odd weeks pregnant, thank you), and yes, I liked it a lot.
2) What is your favorite tv show?
At the moment, I have to go with Cash Cab. Though I also love Bravo and can’t wait for Top Chef to start.
3) What is the last album you bought (or stole from the internet, or burned from a friend) that you loved?*
I’ll go for two: “Barenaked Ladies Are Me/Men”, a double album by Barenaked Ladies; “Voice of the Violin”, Joshua Bell and guests
4) If you were in charge of People Magazine
February 29th, 2008 at 8:47 am, molly chase Says:
1. Charlie Wilson’s War. Despite the view of Tom Hanks’ bare butt, I am a huge fan of Aaron Sorkin, who wrote the thing, and also have an inexplicable crush on Phillip Seymour Hoffman. So, in a word, yes.
2. This is weird, but I freakin’ love Antiques Roadshow. I dunno.
3. Amy Winehouse, Back to Black.
4. Edward Norton. Not traditionally sexy, but brainy and nerdy does it for me.
5. I have to pick one? Da Vinci, Edvard Munch, Mary Cassatt all come to mind immediately.
6. Wicked…the Broadway version, with Kristen Chenowith and Idina Menzel as the witches.
7. Petunia’s choice is really awful, I agree, but I maintain that Kelly Osbourne’s remake of “Papa Don’t Preach” could make a flesh-eating virus throw up.
February 29th, 2008 at 9:14 am, Kate Says:
1. 30 Days of Night: It was pretty good.
2. That’s still on: Lost, but my fave all time show is The West Wing.
3. Roxette’s greatest hits. Total 80’s and 90’s flashback, but I love it. And yes, I’ll make you a copy if you want.
4. Hugh Jackman
5. Ansel Adams
6. Rent
7. That “and I would walk a thousand miles to fall down at your door” song. I fucking hate that song.
February 29th, 2008 at 9:16 am, Kate Says:
Can I change my answer to number 6 to West Side Story? I don’t know why that didn’t come to mind immediately. Could be the Codeine, NyQuil, Aleve or Sudafed I’ve been taking.
February 29th, 2008 at 9:31 am, Russ Says:
1) Transformers, no I don’t get out much (I enjoyed it)
2) Favorite of all time is X-Files, currently airing, Mythbusters
3) INXS, Listen like thieves. I downloaded it (legally) and then my computer died.
4) Nicole Kidman
5) Ansel Adams
6) The Who’s Tommy. I saw it twice on broadway.
7) Anything from The Sound of Music makes my ears bleed. Probably not a popular answer here, but that’s my take.

4) If you were in charge of People Magazine
February 29th, 2008 at 10:18 am, kaleigh Says:
1. Cloverfield. Yes, it was good. A rolicking good time.
2. CSI (the Vegas one). I’m hopelessly addicted to the reruns on Spike. And my husband likes to remind me that Spike is the men’s network. And I don’t care.
3. The soundtrack to “Once.” I was so happy that it won the Oscar. Delightful.
4. Hugh Laurie.
5. Diego Rivero. Or Jasper Johns. Or Louise Bourgeois. (Hard to pick…I was an art history major.)
6. Jesus Christ Superstar. I know every word by heart and have a few different productions designed inside my mind.
7. I don’t know. There’s a lot of crap out there. But I often like “bad” songs. I’m tired of Soulja Boy, but only because my kids overplayed it this fall.
February 29th, 2008 at 10:57 am, JamesMommy Says:
1. Charlie Wilson’s War….or No Country for Old Men. Both were at least good.
2. Gee, I don’t watch much regular network TV but we just Netflixed “Weeds” and are diggin’ it :o)
3. Some African drumming CD for my crazy little guy. It’s a lot of fun. Now I’m looking for “Cowboy” music.
4. Ioan Gruffudd (I can’t even say his name and no one seems to know who he is but oh man!) or Colin Firth (”Oh, Mr. Darcy!”)
5. Hmmm…Georgia O’Keefe, Julie Taymor (a set designer), Renoir
6. The King and I, probably. However we just took the kiddo to see a “Max and Ruby” musical (seriously) that was pretty darn cute (and -thankfully- without all the merchandis hype).
7. Oh, man! Anything that my ex-husband listened to!!! Ha! There’s so much bad crap out there, it’s impossible to nail down.
February 29th, 2008 at 11:17 am, You can call me, 'Sir' Says:
1. I can’t even remember the last thing I saw in a theater. Damn it!
2. Pushing Daisies is pretty good. It’s on ABC on one of the weeknights. Can’t remember. It’s been awhile. Damn it!
3. Porcupine Tree. Multiple shades of awesome. If Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin had made sweet love down by the river, this would be their love child.
It’s multiple shades of awesome. My gift to you:
http://scrine.net/music/albums/PorcupineTree-Deadwing.zip
4. Christina Aguilera. She’s hot, talented, and not psychotic, which makes her truly an anomaly in the world of famous psychotic ho-bags. Also, she just had a baby, which makes her attractive on other more meaningful levels.
5. Albert Bierstadt. He painted huge panoramic scenes from some of the most beautiful parts of the country.
6. Faure’s Requiem. Shall I send you this, as well?
7. ‘Barbie Girl’ by someone obviously being controlled by Satan.
February 29th, 2008 at 11:37 am, merseydotes Says:
1. The latest National Treasure movie. It was alright. Sort of a fun, mindless romp. A little too much going on in the second half. Glad I only paid Ohio matinee prices.
2. 30 Rock. Also, we’ve been watching Arrested Development on Netflix, and that’s pretty effing hilarious.
3. A whole album? I guess Amy Winehouse’s Back to Black. Yes, I loved it. Of course, I am a HUGE Motown fan so it was right up my alley.
4. Jake Gyllenhaal has made his way onto my celebrity hump island, but Javier Bardem would be another good choice.
5. I really like the texture in Van Gogh. I saw his show when it came through DC about nine years ago, and it’s amazing how different those paintings look in real life. They’re like two inches deep! I also have a soft spot for Norman Rockwell, though I know he’s not very hifalutin’.
6. Singin in the Rain. I could watch Gene Kelly dance forever.
7. That “Christmas Shoes” song that gets played at the holidays. “Mister, will you help me please? I really need to buy these shoes…when Mama meets Jesus tonight.” Seriously, I can’t think of anything that makes me want to tear my radio out of the car more than that.
February 29th, 2008 at 11:40 am, Lisse Says:
1. Pirates of the Carribean, not the last one, the second one. That’s how long it has been. Of course it was great. I don’t know why, but I like all those P of C movies better than my kids do.
2. No Reservations. But I don’t watch that much TV.
3. Amy Winehouse, Back to Black.
4. Adrian Brody, an acquired taste, I’ll admit.
5. A sculptor named John Fleming,
6. I can’t remember the last time I’ve been to the theatre so I’m going to have to resort to anything by Shakespeare.
7. Disco Duck. That’ll date me.
February 29th, 2008 at 11:54 am, Kemp Says:

4. Penelope Cruz
5. My favorite piece of art is Van Gogh’s ‘Starry Night’, but my favorite artist is Auguste Rodin
6. Les Miserables
7. William Shatner’s ‘Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds.’ There ought to be a law…
February 29th, 2008 at 12:00 pm, Cobwebs Says:
1) Whichever the last Harry Potter movie was (I have a toddler, so outings are few and far between). It was fine, but I expect it would have been hard to follow if you hadn’t read the book first.
2) Good Eats. I heart Alton Brown.
3) Midnight Syndicate’s “Born of the Night.”
4) My husband, but don’t tell him that; he’d be insufferable. Celebrity, probably Hugh Jackman.
5) Hokusai.
6) Singin’ in the Rain.
7) Feliz Navidad. I’m not sure why it sets my teeth on edge, but if I were ever threatened with repeated listenings as torture I’d talk ’til they made me stop.
February 29th, 2008 at 12:13 pm, amy Says:

5. I love amy ruppel and just bought a print for my birthday. I need to expand my horizons though.
6. Right NOW: Sweeney Todd. It’s like it’s on a loop in my head. In general, opera: Aida, because I was in it in college and damn I loved it, and musical: Les Miserable, damn that’s some good music.
7. Even bad music has a certain appeal, you know? However, I can’t stand screechy voices. Don’t sing if you’re just going to screech like a birthing cat.
*(absolutely!)

4) If you were in charge of People Magazine
February 29th, 2008 at 1:25 pm, Devra Says:
oops, got so distracted by that damn song, I forgot to go back and answer question #2.
Mad Money. I would not say it was “good” but I would say it was far less bad than I had anticipated. Son One liked it very much and I enjoyed being able to identify parts of where we used to stomp around in Shreveport where the movie was filmed.
